What Cutout Pins Are and Who Orders Them
A cutout pin is a small metal badge. Parts of the design are cut all the way through. The open gaps become part of the artwork. The look is sharper than a flat, solid pin. Brands pick this style for logos with open letters.
Most buyers are schools, clubs, firms and event teams. A prefect badge, a club pin or a long service award all suit this style. Launch gifts work well too. The pin is small, but people keep it long after the day ends.
Sizes, Plating and Metal Finish
Six sizes are on offer. They run from 0.75 inches (19.1 mm) up to 2.25 inches (57.2 mm). The 1 inch (25.4 mm) size is the most popular. Big pins hold fine cut lines better. Check your artwork, then pick your size.
Plating sets the color of the metal. Antique gold, antique silver and antique nickel are free. Matt gold, matt silver and matt nickel add S$0.15 each. A sandblast effect is free. An epoxy coat adds S$0.25 per pin for a glossy top.
Backing, Magnets and Gift Packing
The butterfly clutch and rubber clutch are both free. A safety pin adds S$0.30. Magnet backs cost a bit more. A strong cap magnet is S$0.25. Double magnets are S$0.75. Magnets grip the pin without making a hole in the cloth.
Packing counts when the pin is a gift. A polybag is free. A plastic box or valor pouch is S$0.75 each. A valor box is S$1.25. Printed backing cards come in two sizes, at S$0.40 and S$0.30 each, plus a set fee.
Custom Shapes, Enamel Color and Artwork
The whole pin is cut to your shape. A round base is not needed. You can leave the cut areas open. You can also fill parts with soft or hard enamel color. Everything can be customized to suit your brand, event, and daily use.
Artwork Check and Free Mockup
Send your logo file and the team will check it. A free mockup is sent to you. Nothing is made until you say yes. Thin lines and tiny gaps are the usual snag. Ask early, and the shape can be fixed before the mould.
